Delyan Dobrev: It happens rarely, but I agree with Asen Vassilev about the eurozone - 1

I agree with the things that Asen Vassilev said about entering the eurozone. It happens rarely, but I agree. This was what Delyan Dobrev from GERB said to bTV, quoted by FOCUS.

"If they let us enter the eurozone from January 1 of next year, as of August the prices in stores will be in leva and euros. If a product costs 2 leva, it will not be 1 euro, but will be divided according to the exchange rate. Rounding will be in favor of the people. The fines are large," the chairman of the Budget and Finance Committee in parliament also commented.

We will enter with the fixed exchange rate - 1.95583 leva for 1 euro. Rounding is only in cents, in the second digit after the decimal point. It will not be more expensive, but cheaper.

"The cabinet is doing brilliantly, they have exceeded all my expectations. They are on their way to saving all the money under the PVU", added the GERB MP.

"There is a danger that the majority in parliament will become pro-Russian", warned Dobrev and expressed concerns that there may be elections in October.

He explained that if the cabinet falls at the end of July, after this month a date is expected for the introduction of the euro in our country, the elections will be in October.

His opinion was provoked by the statement of "We continue the change" that it will request a vote of no confidence in the government when a date is specified by the European institutions for the euro.

"GERB-SDF together with the BSP and ITN have 120 MPs and this is a minority government. From time to time it is supported by "New Beginning" or PP. If this support falls, the government will fall too, and it is doing very well," said Dobrev.

He was categorical that he had not heard GERB leader Boyko Borisov wanting to become president, nor that Delyan Peevski wanted to become prime minister.
