The results of the chemical-toxicological examination are expected to be announced today, which could prove to be key in the investigation of the case of the “house of horrors” in the village of Yagoda, BNT reports.
The expert examination will clarify whether the elderly people accommodated there were intentionally drugged with medications. The reason for her appointment was the large quantities of drugs found during the inspection in the home. Among them, the presence of preparations containing fentanyl stands out. Blood samples for analysis were taken from eight people who were temporarily accommodated in the Stara Zagora hospital after the revelations about the poor conditions and questionable treatment in the private facility. The samples were sent for examination to the Military Medical Academy in Sofia.
The results of the examination will be included in the case against the managers and staff of the home. If it is proven that the elderly were systematically drugged, this may lead to new charges being filed.
