A 76-year-old woman from Stara Zagora was pulled from the sea near Sveti Vlas and died before the arrival of the medical team, the police reported.
The incident took place on June 16 at around 5 pm in the area near the third rescue post in the resort, BNR specified.
The woman, pulled from the sea, had difficulty breathing and died a little later.
According to rescuers, the woman fell into the sea about 15 m. from the shore, and the depth was knee-deep.
Her body was taken for an autopsy to the "Forensic Medicine" department at the University Hospital – Burgas.
Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case.
