Chaos broke out on the "Trakia" highway in the section from the junction for Karlovo towards Burgas on the morning of June 21. Numerous chain accidents created kilometer-long traffic jams, and the convoys of cars crawl at barely 5 km/h,"24 Chasa" newspaper writes.
Several cars have collided and a platform is currently loading one of the cars, while in front of it there is another hit car. A police team is trying to restore order, but so far without success.
A few meters down in the emergency lane there are 4-5 cars that have also been hit, but without serious material damage. They have stopped and are creating additional inconvenience for traffic.
Continuing eastward, again in the emergency lane, there are 6-7 other cars stopped, again hit, waiting to be processed by the police.
All this is happening before the repair works themselves, which are a few kilometers further on. When approaching them, the traffic splits in two - some of the cars continue in the lane, where trucks, bulldozers and construction machines are piled up, and another part passes into the northern lane, which is divided into two lanes.
The convoys drive slowly towards the sea, and the traffic eases only at the junction for the villages of Trilistnik and Rakovski.
The number of hit cars on the "Trakia" motorway this morning is high.
