English football club Liverpool have accepted the terms of the German club Bayer Leverkusen for the transfer of young defender Jarrell Kwanza, Sky Sports reports, quoted by BTA.
The transfer will be worth 34 million pounds and will be completed after the end of the European Youth Championship.
Kwanza is part of the England national team for men under 21, which will play in the semi-finals of the continental championship against the Netherlands. He was a starter for Lee Carsley's team in the victory over Spain in the quarter-finals.
According to information from Sky Sports, Liverpool want to keep a door open for the return of the England national team, as Ibrahima Konate is entering the final year of his contract. The Merseysiders will have a buyout clause for their youngster, which will be higher than the transfer fee.
Last season, Kwanza played in 13 Premier League games for Liverpool and another 12 in various competitions, including four in the Champions League.
