There is no reason for hysteria over the prices of the small consumer basket. I have not seen anywhere how much the monthly inflation is in relation to it, I even suspect that there is deflation. We must stop with the terrifying shouting that there is inflation, because there is none. And also let's not put the word inflation in the same sentence as the euro. This was said by the former Minister of Economy Nikolay Vassilev in the studio of “Your Day” on Nova News.
According to him, there will be inflation, but the reason for this is the budget policy of the governments over the last 4 years – "taking on debts, spending and giving away money in particularly large amounts".
Vassilev is of the opinion that the cuts in the state administration will receive over 60% support in society, and also in the administration itself.
The former Minister of Economy said that an important problem in the country is the demographic crisis, as well as the need to rearm the army. He added that there is no talk of economic growth, investments, business, privatization, concessions, public-private partnerships, reforms in the public sector, capital markets, stock exchanges, etc. And he added that "we are only dealing with frivolous things".
He pointed out that the government should not deal with prices.
Vassilev also commented that the raising of the country's credit rating is fully expected.
