"BSP - United Left" is introducing a bill against speculation. This was announced on BNT by MP Atanas Atanasov, who is also deputy chairman of the budget committee of the parliament. According to the texts of the law, there will be a list of goods that will be sold at prices regulated by the state.
The Council of Ministers will decide which products will be included in it. Atanasov also commented on the implementation of the state budget, saying that there is a problem with finances, but the Ministry of Finance is waiting for more information on the implementation of the budget plan to see if an update is necessary.
"Today we will submit the bill to combat speculation. This is not a bill that simply sets maximum prices for certain goods, it is a bill that gives the institutions and the government the leverage to fight this. The areas we are affecting are food, medicines, fuels, mobile services, bank fees.
With this bill, we give the Council of Ministers the right to determine basic foods that will be on a special stand in all stores over 400 square meters - one type of cheese, one type of bread, one type of flour, one type of rice, which will have state-regulated prices.", Atanasov said.
