A cabinet led by GERB as a leading political force currently has no alternative, and this is also shown by sociology, said Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov at a meeting in Plovdiv of GERB youth from all over the country, who are discussing fake news in the age of artificial intelligence at a forum.
This was reported by the Bulgarian National Radio.
The ruling coalition manages to overcome its internal contradictions, emphasized the Prime Minister, according to whom the country has made great progress. In a few months, Bulgaria has saved the funds under the Recovery and Sustainability Plan, managed to increase foreign direct investment by 50%, and tax revenues have increased by 15%. According to Rosen Zhelyazkov, on the one hand, the political landscape is stable because it has a stable government and a majority with which the same values are shared. On the other hand, however, there is an opposition that wants to shake the government, said Zhelyazkov and pointed out:
"They are hitting right on our "knuckles" - that there is another model, other alternatives. Populism will always find its breeding ground. However, our role is to look further. We must look where we want Bulgaria to be - Bulgaria, as the most successful country on the Balkan Peninsula, a leading force in Central and Southeast Europe".
If there are opponents of the euro, always look for those who have an interest in not having the euro, Rosen Zhelyazkov also said to the representatives of the GERB youth organization and added:
"You probably don't know, but there are 30 billion leva on the market that are in people's homes, but not in their accounts. And this money must somehow be introduced into the economy, it must be converted into euros. When there is a huge amount of money that will pour into the market, this will inevitably affect inflation".
And the inflation set in the macro framework for this year is 3%. We are currently witnessing inflationary processes in the entertainment, hotel and restaurant sectors, and these are seasonal businesses, commented Zhelyazkov and rhetorically asked, addressing the opponents of the euro:
"Why do Bulgarians, in order to escape the high prices in leva on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, go to the Greek sea for the low prices in euros?".
