The lawyer of the captain of the fatal attraction in Nessebar speaks out: There was no parasailing instructor - 1

New details have emerged about the tragic incident in which an 8-year-old child died falling from a parachute in Nessebar. Yesterday, the Burgas District Court remanded in custody the sailor who put the torn belts on the child, as well as the man who is the informal manager of the water base. What else was revealed at the court hearing and why was the captain of the boat pulling the parachute released on bail?
"I am also a mother. A few years ago, my 8-year-old daughter and I went on such an attraction. It never crossed my mind that something could happen and that our safety might have been in question. Regarding my client, the main reasons I presented were that my client was like the captain of the boat. I never received the job description to see what he was appointed as and what powers and duties he had. But as the captain of the boat, his duty was to take care of the safety of the boat, the course of the boat. He had no organizational or technical powers," said lawyer Vanya Radieva, who is the defense attorney for the captain of the boat, who was released on bail, on BNT.
His only involvement is that he works there, the lawyer added. She added that from the photos shown in court, she herself "did not see that the belts were visibly torn".

"Rather, the belt was slightly twisted on one side. And in the upper part, where the rail is attached, there was just a little horse sticking out".

In her words, "the belts broke at the same time in the same place". She added that the investigation is still at a very early stage. Many expert reports will be appointed, which, according to her, will provide answers to all the questions we are asking.

There is a regulatory framework that regulates the question of who is responsible for the safety of those using such attractions. These are precisely the tenants and concessionaires on the beach.

By law, the boat crew must consist of a captain and a parasailing instructor, but there was none.
