Train traffic between Iliantsi and Sofia is blocked. The reason is that a freight train of the private company “Bobov Dol Thermal Power Plant – Freight Transport”, owned by Hristo Kovachki, derailed upon entering Iliantsi station.
The leading locomotive has fallen out. The wagons have not turned over and there are no injuries or casualties, as well as serious damage to the infrastructure, but the restoration of traffic will take time.
For this reason, various passenger trains are waiting at the neighboring stations - Rebrovo, Sofia North and Central Station.
Teams of the National Company “Railway Infrastructure” are already on the ground and starting work.
