The former Yugoslav Army General Headquarters complex, destroyed during NATO bombing of the then Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY) in 1999 year, will be renovated. The implementation was assigned to the company Affinity Global Development (Affinity Global Development). The contract was signed between the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of Serbia, Goran Vesic, and the owner of the American company, Jared Kushner. The latter is the son-in-law of Donald Trump.
The building is located in the center of the Serbian capital. It is badly damaged after being bombed twice – on the night of April 29, 1999 and May 7-8, 1999, during the NATO strikes against the FRY.
"The Serbian government has chosen as a partner in this venture the representative American company, which will invest in the revitalization of the complex of the former Union Secretariat of People's Defense," said Vesic.
The American company did not buy the plot and the dilapidated building on it, but leased it for a period of 99 years. In the event that the investor does not comply with the commitments made in the contract within the specified terms, he must return the land and the building on it to the Serbian state, without compensation.
Trump's son-in-law aims to build a memorial complex dedicated to all the victims of the NATO bombing of the FRY.
Earlier in the social network “X“ Kushner said that he foresees the implementation of projects in the center of Belgrade and along the Albanian coast. The coasts of Albania have been developing intensively in the last 5 years. Many luxury hotel complexes have sprung up along its coast, which attract tourists from all over the world.
