The Appellate Prosecutor's Office - Plovdiv confirmed in a statement to the media that the case of the body found on Monday near Smolyan is a murder, BTA reported.
The District Prosecutor's Office in Smolyan and the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior will give a joint briefing at 4 p.m. regarding the serious criminal offense committed - murder on the "Bride" eco-trail near the city. This was announced by the press center of the Appellate Prosecutor's Office - Plovdiv.
The body of a man was found on Monday morning in the area of the "Bride" eco-trail. Police inspections of the area and searches of two cars in the parking lot at the beginning of the trail continued for over seven hours. The body of the murdered man was carried in the arms of police officers yesterday along the path before being transported by ambulance for autopsy. Information about the found body is missing from the bulletin of the Ministry of Interior's Regional Office - Smolyan today.
