A minor girl was shot with a rifle in Targovishte. The incident occurred in the late hours of October 3 in the town of Popovo.
According to the investigation, while cleaning a smooth-bore hunting rifle legally owned by the detainee - 12th caliber, the 51-year-old man shot his minor daughter in the waist, who suffered moderate bodily injury.
The girl was taken to the Targovishte Hospital, from where, after emergency medical care, she was transported by ambulance to a hospital in Varna for surgery.
The weapon was seized in accordance with the due process. The man was detained in the Popovo Regional Hospital. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated for bodily injury caused due to ignorance or due to negligent performance of a dangerous activity.
