A 6-year-old young man has a fractured skull and is in danger of death after being beaten up at a family-type accommodation center in the Ustovo district of Smolensk.
According to a message sent by a caregiver at the home, last night unknown persons struck the young man's body and head with their hands and feet.
The center accommodates children aged 13 to 18, deprived of parental care, for whom at the time of placement there, the options for returning to their biological family, placement with relatives or a foster family have been exhausted.
A pre-trial investigation has been initiated into the case. The perpetrators are still unknown, the police announced. Investigators are reviewing the camera footage. Work to identify the perpetrators continues.
