A protest will be held in front of the Plovdiv Courthouse, demanding that the measure of detention not be changed for 19-year-old Nikola Burgazliev, who caused the serious accident in Sunny Beach in the summer, which led to the death of 35-year-old Hristina Zdravkova from Plovdiv and serious injuries to her son Marty.
On August 14 last year in Sunny Beach, the young man lost control of the ATV he was driving and ran over five pedestrians walking on the sidewalk. Among them are 35-year-old Hristina Zdravkova from Plovdiv, who died, and her 4-year-old son Martin, who is still recovering from what happened.
"Once again, the Burgazliev family is trying to put their son - a murderer - under house arrest. Let's work together to prevent such injustice," reads the appeal of the organizers of the protest on social networks.
Last week, the Burgas District Court refused to release Nikola Burgazliev from custody. The Court of Appeal is expected to rule on the young man's appeal.
