A total of 155 pre-trial proceedings for hacker attacks and fraud on the Internet in connection with the introduction of the euro have been initiated since the beginning of the year. This was announced in Kardzhali during a meeting of the national information campaign for the introduction of the euro in our country, Interior Minister Danile Mitov, quoted by BTA.
„Obviously there are criminal groups and elements that take advantage of the situation, but at the same time the institutions are fighting back, successfully for the time being“, commented Mitov.
The Interior Minister added that the introduction of the common European currency is the result of many years of national efforts by a number of governments in Bulgaria. And he stressed that the introduction of the euro will enable the Bulgarian economy to be seen as much more stable and much more competitive.
“It is not at all unimportant to be a member of Schengen and the eurozone. This creates confidence and security for investors who are looking for possible new destinations where they can invest their efforts, opportunities, and create new jobs“, Mitov also said.
