The violation was discovered within the framework of the joint operation of the DG “Fighting Organized Crime”, DG “Border Police“, Agency “Customs“ and the National Revenue Agency in order to combat smuggling, where checks are carried out at the various border points, both by joint teams and independently by the responsible institutions, bTV specifies.
A truck traveling from Turkey to Poland, driven by a Turkish citizen, was stopped at the entrance. At the request of employees of DG “Border Police“ the truck was diverted for an x-ray scan, which showed areas of suspicious density.
When the inspection is carried out in the cargo compartment, on and behind the regular goods – plastic products, 808,000 pieces (40,400 packs) of undeclared cigarettes were found, as well as 890 packs with a total of 6,230 sachets of the 5 mg stimulant “Kamagra”.
Smuggled cigarettes have been seized.
