A 64-year-old man from Kardzhalisko died after being brutally beaten by his own brother.
The crime was committed in the village of Pchelarovo, Chernoochene municipality at the beginning of September. Zlatko P. was detained on September 3, after hitting his 64-year-old brother Petyo P. on the head and body with a metal object. The victim was hospitalized in Kardzhali in a serious condition.
The victim of the beating died after the doctors failed to stabilize his condition. He died in the hospital.
53-year-old Zlatko will be tried not for attempt, but for murder.
The injured Petyo lived in the family house in the village. He was taking care of his bedridden mother. His brother lived in Kardzhali.

The 53-year-old perpetrator has been remanded in custody.
