A masked man sets fire to a car and agricultural equipment in the village of Karapoltsi, Elin Pelin Municipality. According to the victim, the damage is about 200,000 leva.
According to him, it all started with a remark he made to children with ATVs because they were drifting and dirtying his car. Later, their parents appeared and stated that “the cars can burn very quickly and easily”.
The victim, Krasimir Iliev, emphasized that he had not shown aggression towards the children. “Everything happened while my family and I were preparing to go on vacation. I heard a loud noise and saw two children drifting with ATVs. The next moment, after the dust cleared, I saw that one of the children was no longer in the vehicle," he explained to NOVA.
According to him, he ran outside because he was worried that something had happened. But he saw that everything was fine and they were having fun. "The child was standing to the side and watching the other. I lost my temper and ran away. I asked the father of one of the children to come. He is my neighbor - I know him vaguely," said the victim.
Then three people arrived in a visibly intoxicated state, Iliev said. A day later, on the night of June 7, the arson occurred, which was recorded by security cameras.
The man reported the incident to the police and provided the video.
