British actor Bernard Hill, who played the captain in the movie "Titanic" and King Théoden from the film trilogy "The Lord of the Rings", died at the age of 79, writes Daily Mai, quoted by FOCUS.
"Bernard Hill... died aged 79. The actor... passed away early this morning," his agent said.
Hill was born in 1944 in Manchester. He is a stage, television and film actor who became popular in the UK with the BBC series Boys from the Blackstuff. Bernard Hill gained international fame with his role as Captain Edward John Smith in the film "Titanic" and King Théoden in the trilogy "The Lord of the Rings".
