Former Egyptian Minister of Antiquities Zahi Hawass told Matt Beale's Limitless podcast that archaeologists have found that the Egyptian pyramids were built by skilled workers.

The Egyptologist said his team has discovered several new traces left by workers from the 13th century BC that were previously unknown.

Scientists have examined burials south of the Great Pyramid where the builders were buried. They found statues depicting people dragging stones with 21 hieroglyphs carved on them, including inscriptions such as “observer of the side of the pyramid“ and “craftsman“.

“If they were slaves, they would never have been buried in the shadow of the pyramids“, Hawass concluded.

In late April, archaeologists discovered the tomb of the heir to Pharaoh Userkaf, the first ruler of the 5th Dynasty of Ancient Egypt, near Cairo in Egypt.

Inside the tomb, archaeologists found statues of Pharaoh Djoser, his wife, and ten daughters.
