The management of Loko (Pd) announced that it expects the club's teenager Petar Andreev to "make the necessary adjustments to his behavior". As is known, Andreev was not included in the group of "smurfs" for the "railway" derby with Lokomotiv (Sofia), which ended in a 2:2 draw, the club announced.
Here is what the club wrote:
"Dear Lokomotiv fans,
In connection with some publications regarding the situation with Petar Andreev, the club's management considers it necessary to clarify this issue.
In PFC Lokomotiv Plovdiv, each player is obliged to comply with the club's internal regulations, moral and ethical principles, as well as to invest as much as possible in the training process and to fight on an equal footing with the others for their starting spot.
Following a meeting between the club's management and head coach Dušan Kosić, a number of issues related to the players' discipline and compliance with the imposed requirements were discussed. At the moment, Petar Andreev's status is such that, based on the attitude shown towards the training process and the coaching staff, he should continue his work, but also make the necessary adjustments to his behavior. This applies to every player of PFC Lokomotiv Plovdiv who needs improvement in his attitude and discipline.
The final decision on who will play and who will be in the group for a given match is entirely within the powers of the head coach and is determined based on performance during the training process.
We would like to note that media publications concerning internal relationships in the club between players and coaches do not contribute to the development of the players, but rather help create artificial conflicts and negative reactions.
PFC Lokomotiv Plovdiv has always given a chance and stood behind young players, especially those who are a product of the “black and white“ academy. The club will continue to support their path forward, while adhering to the internal regulations, showing morality and respect for teammates and the coaching staff.
With their work and professional behavior, every employee of the club should contribute to the development of PFC Lokomotiv Plovdiv in a positive direction," says the official position of the "black and white".
