Ioana Konstantinova won the doubles title at the women's hard court tennis tournament in Monastir with a prize fund of 15 thousand dollars, BTA reports. The 18-year-old Bulgarian in tandem with Onew Choi prevailed in the final over the No. 1 seeds Sappho Sakellaridi and Radka Zelnichkova with 5:7, 6:1, 10-8 in an hour and 24 minutes of play.
Konstantinova and Choi managed to erase a deficit from 3:5 to 5:5 in the first set, but eventually gave it up with 7:5. In the second part, the Bulgarian-Korean duo dominated and after a decisive 6:1, it came to a championship tiebreak. In the decisive games, they led 9:7 and converted their second match point to triumph with the distinction. This is the first women's doubles title in ITF tournaments for Konstantinova.
