Belgian side Westerlo hopes to sign Pirin goalkeeper Maxim Kovalev, reports HLN. The 23-year-old guard is having an outstanding season with the Eagles. There is also interest in him from Levski, as well as from several other Bulgarian teams. In 32 matches in all competitions during the season, Kovalev has allowed 42 goals and has 7 “dry” networks, transmits gong.bg.
Westerlo is in sixth position in the second six of the Belgian championship, which in turn is divided into three groups after the first phase.
The interesting thing is that lately there has been a lot of interest from Belgian teams in players from our teams. Standard Liège sent an emissary to the match between Levski and Black Sea because of Dimitar Mitkov and Viktor Popov.
Three Botev Plovdiv players played in Belgium last year – Nnadi and Traore in Zulte Waregem, and Toku in OH Leuven. Before that, OH Leuven attracted the international Christian Malinov, and Circle Brugge took Dimitar Velkovski.
