Korea's Lim Sihyeon set the first world record at the Olympic Games in Paris even before their official opening opening, Topsport reported.
She achieved a score of 694 points (out of a maximum possible 720) already in the qualification round of the women's individual archery tournament.
Until now, the top achievement belonged to her compatriot Kang Chae-yong - 692 from the 2019 World Championships. The previous Olympic record from Tokyo 2020 - 680 - belonged to another Korean, An San.
In the team competition, Korea broke its own record with a total score of 2,046 points.
