Levski's coach Stanislav Genchev spoke at a press conference before the first home match of his team for the new Sedon against Botev (Vratsa), BTA reported.
"Certainly the spirits are up in the squad as we achieved an emphatic win in the first leg which was our aim. We tried to show the mistakes the players made in the match against Lokomotiv (Sofia). Let's not have this dizziness, because the first ten minutes were very bad for us. And those mistakes we made must not be repeated. It is important for me that every next match is better and that we grow as a team. This can only be done with full concentration and dedication from the players", were the first words of the coach.
"I know the capabilities of footballers and I know they can do much more. Within the first ten minutes, we made four uncharacteristic mistakes. We conceded a goal, and Lokomotiv Sofia could have scored a second and even a third goal. These are not the possibilities of our football players. When they came in more focused after the 15th, 20th minute, you saw that until the end of the game we hardly made any mistakes. I want this from them - from the first minute to the last to be concentrated, no matter what the result is - regardless of whether we are leading or losing, we have to follow our plan", he believes.
"We have no worries before the match. Mitkov is certainly out of the game tomorrow. We have three more players who have minor problems and we will decide on them at the last minute. Kellyanne van der Kaap will take part in today's training, but in any case the health of the players comes first. If he has any problems or pain, he will not take part in the match. We have an option as to who will replace him," the specialist was emphatic.
"Ikenna purely physically and very well - that is one of his strong qualities. He lacks game practice. We will try to give him some playing time, to get used to the environment, to the way of playing, to synchronize with his teammates. "I think tomorrow is a good time for him to debut," he revealed.
"First I want to thank the fans for the support they gave the team in the first match - it is extremely important for us. I hope that tomorrow the stadium will be full, that they will support us in the same way as they always did, and that we will thank them with a good game, many goals and an expressive victory", concluded Stanislav Genchev.
