In another day of the League of Nations, today is about to played 10 matches, with two of them undoubtedly attracting attention - the derby between Germany and the Netherlands and the clash between Belgium and France, reported Sportal.bg.
Four matches are from League “A”, as many from League “B” and two from League “C”.
Despite Germany's many problems, Julian Nagelsmann's men won away to Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-1 behind two goals from Deniz Undav, and a win now against the Netherlands will pretty much decide everything in the group. The Bundesliga will once again be without important figures such as Jamal Musiala, Kai Havertz, Niklas Fülkrug and Marc-Andre ter Stegen. Hoffenheim guard Oliver Baumann is expected to start at Germany's goal, although Alexander Newbel will start with the Bosnians. The Netherlands, on the other hand, will be without Virgil van Dijk, who received a red card against Hungary, but still managed to get a draw in Budapest with a man less. In the previous meeting “the tulips” and Germany finished attractively 2:2.
Bosnia meets Hungary in the other match of the group, as both teams have yet to record a victory in this edition of the tournament and will be looking for the three points.
In the other more interesting meeting today from division “A” Belgium meets France. The match could be decisive for the development in the group. The two teams will again be without their biggest stars, as Kevin de Bruyne will be absent for the Belgians, and the “roosters” they will play again without their captain Kylian Mbappe, who was rested. The French, who convincingly beat Israel 4-1, albeit with late goals, are on a great run against their rivals. In the other match of this group, Italy will certainly be looking for the three points against the Israel team to maintain the leading position in their group. The Italians will want to get revenge in front of their fans too, after squandering a two-goal lead against Belgium. “Squadra azura” will be without Lorenzo Pellegrini, who received a red card in the previous match.
In League “B” four matches will be played. In one of the day's two early 19:00 games, Georgia welcome Albania and will be looking for another win after winning 1-0 in Tirana. In the other game of this fairly even group, Ukraine will host the Czech Republic in the Polish city of Wroclaw, after the Czechs won 3-2 in the previous meeting between the two teams.
In the other group of this division, Iceland welcomes leaders Turkey, while still unbeaten Wales will look for the three points against the unbeaten Montenegro team.
In the lowest division “C” in the other early game at 19:00, Azerbaijan welcome a well-performing Slovakia team in search of the first point. In the other meeting from the group, Estonia hosts the leader Sweden.
