Daniel Maldini, son of the legendary defender of Milan Paolo Maldini and grandson of another legend of the “Rossoneri”- Cesare Maldini made his debut for the Italian national team in their crushing 4-1 win over Israel in Udine last night.
The curious thing is that this is also the stadium where his father Paolo made his debut for Milan. Never in the history of the Italian national team has there been another case in which a third generation of the same family has made their debut for their country.
First Cesare Maldini did it in 1960 and then Paolo Maldini in 1988.
Daniel Maldini is 23 years old and plays as an attacking midfielder in Monza, where he has already scored one goal in 7 Serie A starts this season.
