Grigor Dimitrov wins his match against Thomas Martin Echeverri in a match of the second round of the "Masters" the hardcourt tournament in Paris by 2–1 sets.

The 33-year-old Bulgarian lost the first set with a tiebreak - 6:7, took the second part with 6:3 in 41 minutes of play and prevailed in the third with 7:5, avoiding the end of the match with another tiebreak.

Dimitrov, who is fighting for a place at the ATP Finals in Turin, started directly from the second round as he was seeded at #8 in the main draw. The 40th-ranked Argentine in the world secured a meeting with him after a 6:3, 7:6(6) victory over Zhizhen Zhang from China, sportal.bg recalled

The 25-year-old Echeveri, who occupies 40th place in the world ranking, was an unknown opponent for Grigor. He plays with his right hand and performs a backhand with two hands. He has been a professional since 2017, has not won any ATP Tour titles. The balance of his career before the meeting with Grigor was negative - 63 wins and 70 losses, and for this year he was 29-27, with the Argentine having only two victories on indoor hard courts during the season.
