Manchester United are making a surprise attempt to sign free agent Dominic Calvert-Lewin, reports the “Sun”. The 28-year-old striker is without a team after leaving Everton at the end of his contract a few days ago, reports sportal.bg.
United manager Ruben Amorim wants to sign Calvert-Lewin, while the “Red Devils” management is, figuratively speaking, juggling finances and trying to build a new attacking line. United have already signed Wolverhampton striker Matheus Cunha for £62.5 million and have offered the same amount for Brentford striker Brian Mbemo.
In parallel, Amorim is also looking to part with some of his strikers – Rasmus Hoylund, Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho and Anthony are the expected departures.
