Newcastle United have rejected Liverpool's first official offer for Swedish international Alexander Isak, Topsport reported.
According to information from the Isle, the "Magpies" value their top scorer at around £150m - significantly more than the bid submitted.
Isak trains at Sociedad despite Liverpool rumours
The Swedish striker remains focused on his training
The player is not part of Newcastle's pre-season tour of Asia and is currently training independently in Spain, at the base of his former club Real Sociedad. This comes amid growing rumours of his departure.
Liverpool have already contacted Newcastle in July and have made no secret of their interest in Isak. Although the club from "St. James" claim that the striker is not on the market, the Merseysiders are expected to make a new, improved offer.
Isak, 25, joined Newcastle in 2022 from Real Sociedad for £60m and has quickly become one of the team's leading players. He helped the team win the League Cup last season.
Liverpool manager Arne Slott is pushing for a reinforcement in attack, and Isak remains one of his priorities ahead of the new Premier League season.
