DJI has introduced the Avata 2 - an FPV drone that has improvements over its predecessor. Equipped with a wide-angle 12MP camera with a 1/1.3-inch sensor, Avata 2 delivers improved image quality with extended dynamic range and improved low-light performance. With a viewing angle of 155 degrees, it supports HDR video at up to 4K 60fps and slow motion at 2.7K 120fps.
The pitch range has been increased by five degrees and the maximum flight time has been extended to 23 minutes. Faster charging is also new. Video transmission capabilities are also greatly improved, with a maximum distance of 13km and a latency of just 24ms at 1080p/100fps, along with a maximum bitrate of 60Mbps.
Avata 2 is joined by the new DJI Goggles 3, which offer live streaming from the drone to the DJI Fly app and the ability to stream to another device up to 5m away. These goggles feature two 1080p, 700-nit micro- OLED display, built-in GPS and in-flight environment monitoring mode. With 46GB of internal memory, Avata 2 can store up to 90 minutes of 1080p, 60fps videos that can be quickly shared via Wi-Fi to smartphones for convenient viewing and sharing.
