This new product from Aoostar is the docking station for mini PCs, portable consoles and laptops. The AG02 accessory allows them to use a desktop video card without opening the case or other complicated operations. The manufacturer listed the characteristics of the new product and said which most powerful video card can be connected with its help.
AG02 is equipped with its own power supply with a peak power of 500 W. You can actually “squeeze“ from it a constant 350 W, which meets the needs of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER. But the company's representatives do not recommend going higher than the RTX 4070 SUPER or an analogue from AMD.
The connection to the target device is through the OCuLink port with a throughput of 64 Gbps (four PCIe 4.0 lanes). Alternatively, the USB 4 Type-C connector can be used, but this will reduce the processing power of the GPU.
Dimensions of the docking station are 22.5 x 6 x 11 cm. Until December 30, the brand offers to buy it with a pre-order for $219. The new product will go on sale at retail after January 15, but its retail price has not yet been announced.
