Pakistan has captured 19 Afghan border posts after clashes between soldiers from both sides, Geo TV reported, citing security sources.

“Pakistan has captured 19 Afghan border posts along the border“, the statement said.

According to him, Afghanistan has used these border posts for attacks against the neighboring country.

On Saturday, the Afghan Ministry of Defense announced a successful “revenge operation“ against Pakistan.

A Pakistani drone reportedly targeted an armored SUV in Kabul carrying Pakistani Taliban leader Noor Wali Mehsud and his possible successors on Thursday. The Pakistani Air Force also carried out an airstrike in Paktika province in eastern Afghanistan on Friday evening.

The Taliban said they had targeted facilities used to launch drones into the country and violate its airspace, as well as periodically targeting civilians.

According to the Tolo News channel, 12 Pakistani soldiers were killed in the clashes and at least two were wounded. Five soldiers surrendered to the Taliban in the Kandahar province.

According to witnesses, continuous explosions were heard in some areas of the eastern part of the city, and fires broke out in several places. Kabul criticized the attacks on its territory, calling them "invasion and violation of sovereignty".
