American President Donald Trump said that he would talk about weapons, including Tomahawk missiles, at a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky on October 17, Ukrainskaya Pravda reports, quoted by FOKUS.

Trump announced this during his meeting with Argentine President Javier Milley at the White House on October 14.

Trump told reporters at the White House that he knew that Zelensky would want to talk about the need for weapons at the upcoming meeting.

"He would like to get his Tomahawk. Everybody wants a Tomahawk on. And we have a lot of Tomahawks... By the way, do you need Tomahawks in Argentina?“, Trump joked with his Argentine counterpart.

During the press conference, the US president also noted Russia's “successes“ in the war in Ukraine.

“Vladimir Putin should have won this war in a week, and it's been going on for four years“, Trump said.

According to the US president, the Russian economy is on the verge of collapse, while the Kremlin leader does not want to end the war in Ukraine. He added that Russia's losses in the war against Ukraine amounted to 1.5 million soldiers.

“This is a terrible war. "This is the biggest event since World War II," he said.

Trump summed up the Tomahawk issue, saying he would meet with the Ukrainian president to discuss the issue of arms transfers, specifically the delivery of the 'deep strike' missiles.
