The Russian Defense Ministry said its forces had captured the villages of Krasnogorske in Ukraine's Zaporizhia region and Sadovoye in Kharkiv region (Krasnogirske and Sadovoye in Ukrainian - ed.).
In addition, Russian air defenses have shot down 8 guided aerial bombs, three rockets from the American "Haymars" system in the past 24 hours. and 192 drones, the ministry said.
In response to Ukrainian attacks on civilian targets, Moscow's forces launched a massive strike on the Ukrainian military-industrial complex, military airfields and energy facilities overnight, the ministry said. The attacks used long-range precision weapons and drones.
"The objectives of the strike were achieved, all designated targets were hit," the ministry added.
