Russia positively assesses some aspects of the US peace plan for Ukraine, but many of them require expert discussion, Russian President Vladimir Putin's advisor – Yuri Ushakov said today, TASS reported, BTA reported.
„We have not discussed it with anyone yet, because a truly serious analysis of the plan, a serious discussion is needed. (There are) some aspects that we can assess positively, but many (others) require a special discussion between experts“, Ushakov noted to journalists.
He pointed out that Washington's peace plan was not discussed during the negotiations in Abu Dhabi.
„We have not discussed the peace plan in detail with anyone at all. We saw it, they gave it to us, but there was no discussion," he noted.
Ushakov specified that Russia had received several versions of Washington's proposal through unofficial channels, but so far no one had officially provided it to Moscow. He added that the Kremlin had also received the "latest versions" of the draft proposal.
According to Ushakov, Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to meet with US special envoy Steve Witkoff, who is expected to visit Moscow next week.
