French President Emmanuel Macron will welcome his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky, who is under strong military and political pressure, in Paris today, Agence France-Presse reported.
The meeting will follow the talks between the Ukrainian and American delegations yesterday in Florida.
Zelensky will be welcomed at the Elysee Palace at 10:00 local time and the two heads of state will make a statement to the media before their meeting, followed by a working lunch.
The two leaders will discuss the situation and the conditions for a just and lasting peace in continuation of the discussions in Geneva and in close cooperation with Ukraine's European partners, the French presidency said.
Last week in Geneva, delegations from the United States, Europe and Ukraine discussed the 28-point American plan to end the war in Ukraine and made amendments to some points. Yesterday, the US and Ukrainian delegations discussed the most delicate points of the plan in Florida, according to sources.
While Zelensky is in Paris, Donald Trump's special envoy - Steve Witkoff - will head to Moscow.
