Ukraine: Russia does not control part of Konstantinovka - 1

Ukraine has denied Russia's claims that it controls part of Konstantinovka, Ukrinform reported, quoted by BTA.

Two days ago, the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov, reported to President Vladimir Putin that the key city in the eastern Donetsk region had been partially captured.

Today, the 19th Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine rejected this claim as false.

"The Kremlin is again trying to present wishful thinking as reality and proclaims "successes" of the Russian army on the battlefield. However, none of these claims are supported by facts. "The statements about alleged control over part of Konstantinovka are also a myth," the statement posted on Facebook said.

The industrial city, which before the war began nearly four years ago had a population of almost 70,000 people, is located on the road to Kramatorsk, the administrative center of the part of Ukraine's Donetsk region that has not been captured by Russia.

The claims of both sides in the conflict have not been verified by independent sources.
