A US P-8A Poseidon reconnaissance aircraft flew near Murmansk on Monday, according to Flightradar24 data.
The P-8A Poseidon aircraft took off from Keflavik International Airport in Iceland at 14:50 Moscow time and was later spotted in neutral airspace over the Barents Sea near the port of Murmansk.
The P-8A Poseidon is based on a civilian Boeing 737-800ERX and is designed to track vessel movements and detect and combat submarines.
