Pahlavi, who calls for secular democracy in Iran but is not universally supported by critics of the Islamic Republic, urged Iranians to be patient but also to take to the streets when the time comes.
"In these difficult hours and days, we must more than ever remain focused on our ultimate goal: to take back Iran," he added.
