US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has told Israel to continue its military operations against Iran, Reuters reports, citing information from the Israeli Defense Ministry, BTA reports.
Hegseth made the message during a telephone conversation with his Israeli counterpart Israel Katz, confirming that the United States stands behind Israel.
For his part, Katz thanked for the increased American support in protecting Israeli citizens from the Iranian missile threat, the department added.
On Saturday, the United States and Israel launched a joint military operation against Iran, which was followed by Tehran's retaliatory strikes on Israel and US military bases in the Middle East region.
