Early this morning Bulgarian time, flights were suspended at all airports in the US capital, Washington.
The restrictions affected the airports “Ronald Reagan“ and “Dulles“, as well as those in Baltimore and “Richmond“ in Sandston, Virginia, said Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy.
According to him, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is working to eliminate a “strong odor“ emanating from the Potomac TRACON air traffic control tower.
TRACON is responsible for the airspace of Washington, Baltimore and the Richmond-Charlottesville area. The company is based in Warrenton, Virginia.
