Russian forces attacked the Ukrainian capital Kiev and the city of Dnepr tonight, UNIAN reported.
"Two people – a 12-year-old boy and a 35-year-old woman – were killed in an attack on the capital," Mayor Klitschko announced.
„13 residents of the city were injured. Medics hospitalized six of the injured. The rest were treated on the spot and as outpatients,“ Klitschko added.
Teams continue to work at the scene of the calls.
"The injured suffered traumatic brain injuries, shrapnel wounds and other injuries. One woman is in critical condition, the others are in moderate condition. All are receiving medical care".
The official also posted photos of the destruction caused by the Russian attack.
Four medics who responded to a call in Obolon, Kiev, were injured, according to Klitschko. A large fire was also reported in the same area in a non-residential building, where rocket debris fell. Cars are also burning.
The consequences of the missile attack are reported in several areas of the capital. According to the head of the Kiev city Ministry of Defense, Timur Tkachenko, a fire broke out on the sixth floor of a 16-story apartment building in the Podilskyi district. A child was pulled from the rubble, Klitschko said, adding that the search for the mother was continuing.
A fire broke out on the first floor of an apartment building at a different address. Emergency services are working on the scene.
Ten people were injured in the city of Dnipropetrovsk as a result of the Russian attack, and a 40-year-old woman is in serious condition.
Fires broke out in several places in residential areas.
„A five-story building was damaged and a private home was partially destroyed. "Preliminary reports indicate that there may be a person under the rubble," added the chief of staff of the Dnepropetrovsk regional military administration, Oleksandr Gandzha.
On April 15, a Russian drone hit a multi-story building in Odessa. The attack killed one person and injured several others. Apartments on several floors were destroyed.
