The ruling junta in Mali has announced that it is suspending the activities of political parties and associations "until further notice", reported AFP and BTA.
"A decree issued by the head of the junta, Colonel Assimi Goita, and read to journalists by government spokesman Colonel Abdoulaye Maiga, said: "The activities of political parties and political associations throughout the country are suspended until second order for reasons of public order.
