A man set himself on fire in a park located in front of the courtroom where the trial against Donald Trump is being held in New York, BTA reported.
According to Reuters, the man burned for minutes before being put out with a fire extinguisher. The victim was taken away on a stretcher. At the moment, it is not clear what are the reasons for his action.
The man is in critical condition, the Associated Press reported.
He was handing out leaflets before he set himself on fire yesterday.
Minutes before the self-immolation, a full jury of 12 people and six alternates was selected for the first criminal trial against a former US president, AP notes.
