Siljanovska and Pendarovski go to a runoff for the presidential post in the RSM

Gordana Siljanovska, nominated by VMRO-DPMNE and Stevo Pendarovski, supported by SDSM, are the two candidates for president of North Macedonia, which is going to the second round of the elections on May 8, show the results of 98.18 percent processed protocols by the State Election Commission in North Macedonia, BTA reported.

The difference between the two is 176,446 thousand votes in favor of Gordana Siljanovska, 40.20 percent voted for her and 20 percent for Pendarovski of the voters who participated in the first round of the presidential elections, with a turnout of 49.93 percent.

In the race between the candidates in the Albanian political bloc, raised by the "European Front" coalition, led by DSI Buyar Osmani and the candidate of the coalition of Albanian opposition parties "Deserves". Arben Taravari, the result is in favor of Buyar Osmani – with about 35 thousand votes.

Maxim Dimitrievski, nominated by the ZNAM movement, received 9.04 percent of the votes, and the candidate of the Left, Bilyana Vankovska, who received 4.57 percent of the voters, said that the “vanguard” voted for her, and people apparently still they are not at the stage of the vision that she offered them in her program.

On May 8, together with the second round of the presidential elections in North Macedonia, there will also be a vote for the country's parliament.
