Greeted with cheers of "Victory", the chairman of VMRO-DPMNE Hristiyan Mitskoski announced that the candidate for president of North Macedonia, nominated by the party Gordana Siljanovska, won the first round of the presidential elections with more than 170 thousand votes, BTA reported.
„I promised that we would win by at least 100,000 votes, and we are winning by more than 170,000 votes. We said a lot of things that would happen, they didn't believe us, they underestimated us, they thought they were dealing with small children, but thanks to the people we showed and proved that Macedonia exists and will exist for a very long time. They attacked us from the inside, threatened us, tried to divide us, divide Macedonia, divide the people. They used structures from the past of VMRO-DPMNE to attack us, but we endured because we believed and because the people of Macedonia were with us”, Mickoski stated.
He defined Siljanovska's election victory as a tsunami that “on May 8 will completely submerge them” and added that the results of the first round of the presidential elections are “the yellow card and the red card is needed on May 8 against this criminal and corrupt government".
Mickoski stated that before the press conference he spoke with the candidate for president, nominated by the Albanian opposition, Arben Taravari, and wished him success in the parliamentary elections “and a future in the government”.
„ Let's not allow DSI to make a good result in the second round, and that's why I invite you to go out and vote for Macedonia, so that it can be proud again and be yours again, urged the chairman of VMRO-DPMNE.
