Anthony Blinken: Russia will find it difficult to sustain its invasion of Ukraine without China's help - 1

Russia will find it difficult to sustain its invasion of Ukraine without help of China, said the US Secretary of State, Sky news reported.

Speaking in Beijing, after talks with China's top diplomat Wang Yi, Anthony Blinken expressed his serious concerns about supplying Russia with components that "fuel Russia's brutal war of aggression against Ukraine".

He explained that China is the main supplier of machine tools, microelectronics and nitrocellulose, which is critical to the production of military munitions and rocket fuels used by Moscow to expand its military-industrial base.

"This base produces missiles, drones, tanks and other weapons that President Putin uses to attack sovereign states," Blinken added during a press conference.

He emphasized that these weapons are being used to strike the power grid and other civilian infrastructure, as well as to cause a large number of casualties among the civilian population.

Blinken noted that without China's support, Russia will face difficulties in carrying out its aggressive actions against Ukraine.

According to him, NATO allies and partners from the Group of Seven most developed countries in the world (G-7) share the same concerns. They emphasized that the expansion of the Russian military-industrial base not only threatens the security of Ukraine, but also the whole of Europe.

Blinken clearly reminded that for the United States, ensuring transatlantic security is of key importance. He warned that if China does not seriously engage in solving this problem, the US will act in this direction.
