Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, shared insights on the ongoing discussions on the border delimitation between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Emphasizing the importance of these talks, Zakharova highlighted their decisive role for stability in the region. This development was reported by the Armenian news agency ARMENPRESS and BTA.

Russia has expressed its support for peaceful and diplomatic solutions to border issues. Zakharova emphasized the need for agreements that are fair, balanced and beneficial for all parties involved. Such agreements are seen as fundamental to promoting lasting peace in the region. Russia has also offered assistance in the border delimitation process, based on a tripartite agreement involving the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The movement "Tavush for the Motherland" sparked protests, drawing attention to internal dynamics in Armenia. Russia views these events as Armenia's internal affairs. Despite these protests, Zakharova assured that Russia aims to continue its strong and friendly ties with the Armenian people, especially in times of need, emphasizing the brotherly bond between the two peoples.
